Expect 75 bps rate hike in June-RBI Monetary Policy Review- May 22

Owing to immediate policy rate hike by the RBI, government bond yields soared. The central bank is on the way to restore the repo rate at pre-covid level in 2020. On account of withdrawal of accommodative policy, RBI’s stance on monetary policy will turn to hawkish from current accommodative policy in coming days.
